What I meant was a big fight. it would get boring if every fight he had ended in three chapters right. Plus, he just found his mother which was a huge overarching plot that encased the entire story so far. Having the arc just end with a plain fight seems wrong. And it felt like less like “This isn’t my full power” and more like they were throwing everything at him just to survive, and were still losing.

Honestly, it’s not the fight that bothered me. It was the whole arc where he’s chasing that moron who hurt his mother. It feels like the author threw the sect in to lenghten the process and delay Luo Wu Ji from finding the guy.

This is getting ridiculous. It’s almost as if the author has never interacted with real humans before. This isn’t the way normal people behave. The policewoman, for example, you don’t just randomly demand to live with a total stranger all of a sudden. And no matter how oblivious she is, how could it not occur to her that Luo Wu Ji already has a girlfriend and therefore it’s not fine for her to barge in like that? I know you want a harem, but at least execute it properly and logically. Also, those people who went through all that expense and trouble to set up a banquet just to humiliate Luo Wu Ji and fire him? Nobody does that in real life, it’s a total waste of money, effort and time. Plus none of them even know him, they had no reason to have a grudge against him, other than because his ex-girlfriend asked them to, but even then, this makes no sense.

Oh, I have no problem with him dumping his girlfriend. It’s how his ex-girlfriend and all her friends decide to gang up on Luo Chen, set him up and humiliate him for no reason at all that annoys me. Like, why? They had no grudge against him, no reason to do that all, so it makes no sense.
I actually enjoyed the part where he said okay when she wanted to break up. But I wish it was executed way better.

Oh, I enjoyed the flexing on the ex-girlfriend part. But her colleagues and friends hating on Luo Chen for no reason, the policewoman jumping in and demanding to live with him, etc. made no sense. Probably would have worked better if he focused on humiliating the ex-girlfriend without throwing all the peanut gallery and random side villains in.
