Yeah, I find it super short sighted. And apparently the way forward is…coal? Really? Non renewable, contributes heavily to climate change and pollution, but hey, if it’s the protagonist, it’s okay. Not to mention, this isn’t just the uncle and his family, Jiang Bei Chen literally caused an entire industry (everyone working at the power plant) to lose their jobs. I don’t think they died (this being a fictional manhua and so the author decides to gloss over it by claiming nobody died in the explosion), but it’s childish, petty and short sighted as f.

Well…needless to say, Jiang Beichen solves the debt and destroys his uncle’s company, causing his uncle and cousin and cousin’s wife (his ex-girlfriend) to acknowledge their blame and lose the company (basically they refused to pay employees and got attacked for it, and when the uncle tries to take back the company, the furious employees beat him up while swearing loyalty to Jiang Beichen because he treated them better). They attempt to revive their fortunes by going into…nuclear energy or something to compete with Jiang Beichen’s new fossil fuel plant (I think), but Jiang Beichen tricks his uncle into blowing up his own reactor and…they basically end up going bankrupt.
